Raise Money with Friends and Family

Everybody knows somebody with diabetes - all you have to do is ask. Remember there are 21 million kids and adults with diabetes in the United States alone.

1. Never go door-to-door asking for money! Instead, ask friends or family, “Who do you know who has diabetes?” the next time you see them. Then, add these people to your “I am walking for…” list.
   
2. Use our fun online tools to send personalized emails asking for support.
   
3. Ask your donors if they work for a company with a matching gift program.  Many companies give money to charities when their employees do—this is called a matching gift.  You could double the amount you raise just by asking this simple question!
